HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE – 2023

October 3, 2023
2023 High Hopes Challenge at Camp Kindle

In a heartwarming display of leadership and community engagement, Tundra’s Northern Alberta Sales Manager, Jeff Durocher, recently participated in the High Hopes Challenge at Camp Kindle alongside his kid coach, Auralia Reid. The event, organized in support of Kids Cancer Care, brought together families, professionals, and advocates for a day filled with challenges, triumphs, and most importantly-the shared goal of making a positive impact on the lives of children battling cancer.

The High Hopes Challenge is not your average charity event. It’s a day full of teamwork and triumph filled with physical and mental challenges that participants face together-creating bonds and memories that last a lifetime. The challenges are not only symbolic of the obstacles faced by children fighting cancer but also a celebration of resilience and the power of community support.

A haven for kids fighting cancer, Camp Kindle (the venue for this inspiring event) is an incredible venue for children and families dealing with the challenges of cancer. The camp provides a supportive environment where kids can enjoy activities, build friendships, and find solace amidst the natural beauty of the outdoors. The High Hopes Challenge serves as a vital fundraiser to ensure that Camp Kindle can continue its mission of offering hope and healing to those who need it most.

With overwhelming support from family, friends, co-workers, industry, neighbours, and factory partners – Team “Fire Jets” (Jeff and Auralia) CRUSHED their fundraising goal, bringing in a total of OVER $30,000! And the raised total of all the High Hopes teams was more than $240,000! What an achievement!

What makes this story truly special is the synergy between the corporate world and the purity of childhood that creates a powerful narrative of collaboration and empathy. It’s a testament to the idea that, irrespective of age or profession, we can all contribute to a cause close to our hearts. Jeff truly walked the talk of one of Tundra’s Core Values of “Give Back” by demonstrating his commitment to community welfare while showing Tundra’s values extend beyond the factory floor and boardroom. We’re very proud!

As we celebrate Jeff and Auralia’s participation in the High Hopes Challenge, it’s important to recognize the broader cause-Kids Cancer Care. Consider contributing to this worthy organization, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness. Every small effort counts towards making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer.
